What a great ride!! Well - up until Patangata anyway. Hope the Palmy crew were impressed with our roads/weather?? Thanks for the photos BigG
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Looks like a great day by all.
A few issues here fucked my day up as I was planning to join at Patangata.
Sorry for not checking here and seeing your PM YT.

edit: I did actually get underway but only made it to Bridge Pa but had to turn back.

No worries, no hassle - I offered, to save Steve from backtracking etc - bikes feel different huh? Different suspension settings and Steve is a bit bigger than me.

I peeled off at HW 2 and rode home, sorry I ddin't say goodbye, folks!
Enjoyed my solitary pootle both to Patangata and home again.
I have done very little riding on my own and it was a great experience...might have to do it again!

Suspension don't bother me too much but it was more the size diff between you too but that will always happen as a pillion you won't always be on the back of the same bike all the time

Cheers again for the ride today. Magic stuff. The Z got a good old fashioned thrash up Middle Rd on the way home. Still trying to wipe the grin off.

It was excellent meeting up with some our southern neighbours and putting faces to the names. Look forward to doing it again. Top day.

    A lot of bikes

I thought there was a lot of bikes on the road, even considering the weather. The Southern Cross rally is on at the moment, spoke to a guy at BP Dvegas that was riding a late model Beemer touring bike how was telling me what he was up to.

What a great day. I loved that first stint to Wimbledon. What a great road. Then to Waipuk. You are one hell of a Pillion Stickchick. What a girl. What a great ride. I will post a few pic's when I reduce their size. The lunch was spot on and the company exceptional. A few wrong roads but I don't think we will point the finger cos we got a few extra k's in. Thanks you lot for coming up and giving us a great day out. I will work on the pi'c and you should see them in the next hour. Thanks for joining us Tart. So many to thank and so much to say. Better get the pic's up. They will say it all. You guys rock and thanks.

    A few photos
twas a great days riding. You guys are always telling me how great your roads are I didn't see the point in coming all the way up there without riding ALL the roads. Hey, if a roads worth doing its worth doing twice.

After I got lost (I thought I was banned from being out in front!) I circled back to the starting point and couldn't find anyone so then ended up following middle road up for a bit. Found a couple on the side of the road that had run out of fuel and were syphoning fuel from one bike to the other. Then I tracked back and went over a random road which was fantastic. Ended up on HW2. Few more going round in circles and found Waipawa and by then had gotten into txt with 86 who was on HW50 so I went down to the HW2/HW50 intersection and waited there for a bit.
Finally regrouped and then had a very hot trip back home following a repsol honda and something else. Really good day out but had the camera in the back of the bike and must have done a few too many twisties cause camera broke. Might see if I can get photos off it later.
