Actually there is a little story about a turkey bird. I came around the corner with some lean on to find W with his left hand out all but patting a very large Turkeys tail to shoo it off the road for me. Well I think that’s what he was doing…………… Wasn’t it W? Even with the sound of the twin the big bird just stood in the lane and looked in to empty space. Wonder what was going on in the empty space between it’s eyes? W Killed a bird when it hit his upper right arm and sprayed me with feathers. Lucky the tar had not melted in the heat or I would have been…… you know……….

That was a huge bird alright....... as I approached it just looked up with a stunned look on its stupid face ........thinking back, I suppose I should have given it a slap as I went past just for the hell of it might have been grazing on some cabbage it found on side of the road

Nice to see you back online George. I would have needed a bigger bag than that mate. It was a big bird and even a Gixxer would have trouble going over a bird that big.

I hear Phil Turnbulls in Palmerstone North is going to close. Anyone else know anything about it?l

    Be careful where you park.

Got this from a Hastings city council newsletter.
As of the 26th of June 08 parking infringement in a Disabilities park will cost you, not $40.00 but $150.00 Blood good in my opinion but still something you need to note.

Also parking on the foot path or the wrong side of the road will get you a $40.00 fine. Suppose this goes for bikes as well. I have been known to park on the foot path often when in town. Specially when away from home.
