What a fuckin comedy of errors.

Prob best next time we all know the route or we all leave together.

For those that don't know I got lost!

Was saddling up at the gas station in Taupo, half had gone, just a few left.
My helmet clip got caught and jammed on my neck warmer, so had to take it off, and try and free it. meanwhile the helmet ripped a wire out of my ear piece for the radar.
By the time I got the helmet sorted, and realised that the earpiece was rooted, it was 5 mins and all had gone!

    Fuck!!!
I dont know where we're going!
Went thru Taupo, thought, shit, which way?
Went to Wairaki, hmm....thats the way to Tokoroa, cant be around the lake that way.
Turned around, must of gone via Acacia bay, thats all lakey.
Damn, 2 turnoffs to Acacia bay!!!!

Took one, took me out of the town, stopped.
Thats when I txt Rob. Thought, no point phoning he'll be on the bike, won't hear.
Carried on, got to main drag of Acacia bay, followed a main drag along the lake.
    Cool, thats the way surely.
10 mins of riding......dead end road.
    FUCK!

    Check phone, nothing.

So about now 25 mins has passed.
Figured they're all long gone, even if I pick the right road, I cant risk going full out to catch them on roads I dont know and not being able to hear the detector.
    Fuckit.

I'm lost, dont know the route, no point but fly the white flag and head for home.

Went back to Taupo, stopped at Dick Smith, got a new earpiece, fuck riding over that road without radar.
    Good call.
Bacon car around a bend after a long staright.
Picked the sucka up after passing a long line of cars.

Gave the bike absolute shit all the way back.
    Was good.

Oh well, at least I got a good ride out today, did 400 kms.
Bit sore in the hip so maybe just as well I did'nt do the full job, as was really glad to get home!

Hope you had a good one guys.

Oh Steve & Rob, you phone calls did'nt show up on my phone until I got home, as I checked in Taupo and only a txt from Rob saying you were at Whakamoe? Wherever the hell that is.

    lol

It was a great day. Real sorry about the screw up Dooly. I'm sure we can do the whole thing again just for you!

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Firstly…… Sorry Tony. I am gutted mate and it shouldn’t have happened. Seems to happen on our rides from time to time. Really sorry mate. We need to designate a tail end Charlie and then this can not happen. Lesson learnt.

Other than that it was a great day and I will post pic’s soon.
