It's good we keep our rides different each week otherwise the Feds would anticipate ware we are going and possibly look out for us. There are few live out Maraekakaho way, with the popularity of biking on the increase and the authorities wanting to keep the speeds down they are going to target bikes. So I beleive what has bin said by the Gixxer is very good, we just be sensible and go quick when it is safe to do so and for Dooly can go Very Quick when it is safe and clear. They are briliant rides.

Funnily enough the only time I've seen the cops who live out my way are on the way to work with the main one who lives by the monument, Quinn, the head of HWP here, who is a real CUNT. Has been known to drink at the Chook & Filly, go home 1km down the road, put on his uniform bring the car out and ping the locals for DIC leaving the bar he was just in! He also sits up the hills on HW50 taking pics of speeders and lane crossers.
The only other cop I know of near me is a dog handler.
They seem to be rampant down HW50 mainly during the working week, not so much during the weekend.

But as far as perks of the job go. A long time mate of mine who I'm trying to get to join us on our rides is a cop here in Hastings. He was pulled up on his K5 Gixxer a while back on the Taupo rd for a warp speed.
Showed the old bacon ID badge eh.............you know the rest.
Apparantley quite a few Hastings cops ride big bikes.

There is at least one I know of in Napier too - but he is a genuinely nice guy....and hates HP with a passion.

If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...

Yeah the guy I mentioned above hates them too, his word was 'cunts' the other day when he gleefully told me he saw 300 again on his digi speedo.

I had to follow him into work yesterday morn. It was 7am, no one on the road and the cunt was doing 90kph on HW50 all the way to Bridge Pa.
He takes the HWP car home each day so at least he's easy to see when you come up on him.

Would he have done you for 'taking too long in a passing manuoevre' if you'd done it at 100kph?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

With this guy mate, for sure.

I've noticed when other cars are behind him in the morns, its a slow procession into town. No one passes him. All the locals only travel at 100-110 but he is always 90.

His house is directly opposite the monument, red roof, on the rise.
I often wonder, actually everytime when riding past....'I wonder if the cunt will take my pic', so I always button off past it. Just habit.

A few Z nails in the dust of his driveway wouldn't be really naughty. Would it?

Not really, but you might get a bargain deal as I think the driveway is used by another place too.

I would argue that one. Big time.

Yep. The group I rode with before this had a deal to compress if the lights come on and they turn around, and change the lead bike. Then no one stops until the bacon picks a bike out. Then the rest keep going to where ever they were going.

We could all put in for the fine but that's a bit tuff if the lead bike is way out the front playing. But if the hole group are doing 120 and one gets fined we are all guilty and spreading the load would work. Remember that a beginner is 50 k over at 120. No more licence.

Sorry S, you are wrong there. It is 20k over PLUS breach of licence conditions. Not walking....

    Yep you are correct.
Patrick got the fine for 110 Kmh but was let off the breach of licence coditions. Probably best to put the L plates in the midle of the group with out L plates on. Catch 22 really cos you get fined for that as well............

L - platers could always attach an L plate....now there is a novel idea!
I never got hassled because of mine!

Yes true but if you are riding with an L plate and you are seen by Mr Plod doing 100 k he will pull you over. no L plate and they do not know you should be doing 70 not 100. But then maybe you should stick to the 70 when learning. I don't know the answer but when Patrick and I past a Plod on the Taupo road at 100 kmh he got away with it cos he didn't have his L plate on. But if you get pulled over for somethin else and you don't have it on you pay the fine. No easy answer but I recon the 70 k thing is stupid. Best way to get killed. Drive at 70 k while the trucks are doing 110 around you. Stupid law this one.
