Whats the story for rides this weekend?

I'm out for tommorrow, but Sunday looks good.

I'm thinking of doing the Triumph RAT ride Sunday, as I've missed the last few.
We meet at Breakers Napier, for brekky about 9.30-10ish then head off for a decent ride, usually till late arvo-ish.
Anyone's welcome, don't have to have a Trumpy, and the more the merrier as the last few I've been on there's only been a few.
So thats an option if you're interested.

    I got news.
Word is they have restricted the power in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear to %85 after 12000rpm just so the Gixer can keep up. It is showing up on the dynocharts in the states.

pfft, can fix that easily enough, take the gear sensor and jump a few wires to confuddle the ECU into thinking it's in 3rd gear when its in 4th 5th and 6th so it remains at full noise over 12000rpm well that works for the older bikes anyways

The gixxers will stil keep up either way though

    Party my place tonight btw

We have our second round of TB testing Monday, for the cows, so have to get the cattle sorted for it. I hate working W/ends.
Have a great ride Tony. I hope to get out with them again sometime. Had a great ride last time I rode with them.

Hmm, i'm told the new Fireblade's are $26k, that plunging dollar is certainly it's toll on the bank account.

However it is the very thing that is keeping us in business, as we rely on exports. I hate to think what fuel will cost in a few months. I recon the NZ $$ is going to drop to $0.46cnt by Dec.

You will see a lot of near new bikes on Trademe and other places, soon, cheap. People will have to drop them fast to keep the payment up on their homes and feed their families. Bike are great but I recon we will see a big move away from toys to basic living costs. I hope I am wrong but from where I sit I can see the change coming. If car rego goes up to $380 what are bikes going to cost???????
So if you have the cash, wait for another 6 months and you will save a lot of it as you bail someone out of their repayment binds.

Or I could be totally wrong

Opps, sorry about the shouting. Bit of virtual glue-ear maybe.

As for economics... one might actually expect more secondhand commuters and scooters being saught after in order to reduce fuel costs (valid saving or not) and boys being boys, the competetive streak will ensure that the sportbike and big cc bike market stays above water.

Big cars will become cheap as chips because they cost too much to run. Sporty cars will become even more less attractive due to police crackdowns on boyracer cars (ie: mags = boyracer).

So, who will be laughing at my Corolla-sized topbox then?

But none of the above matters - this does...

If Huey behaves, then I'm in today.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
