I am struggling to argue about the mode of transport for the weekend. The cage has heated grips, heated pegs, heated seats well heated everything really. Water proof wets and bags to keep us and the stuff dry good map reading facilities and food holding bits………….. I don't think I will win this one.

Speaking of bags. The Panniers really are fantastic. All the stuff stays dry and you can take heaps of stuff to change in to. Take layers off and put layers on as the day changes and the maps stay dry . Bloody fantastic for trips away. Except I hit a bollard with the right hand side one as I jumped up on to a curve to get under a veranda of a business in Auckland city so I could put on more cloths and read a map in the dry. They do stick out a bit. Lucky it wasn’t a car it hit. Could have dropped the bike if I wasn’t so embarrassed about the big thump it made. People were already looking to see why the bike was on the foot path. What, don’t people ride on the footpath in Auckland?

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Best I ride with them on a lot more and get use to it. They really are wide. Might have to give more room when lane spitting with them on our very busy congested motor…. Oooops sorry , expressway.
