Hawke's Bay weekend rides

Did the loop. Napier, Taupo, desert road to Vineger hill. Over to Ashuhrst, Vegas and up HW50.(where there was oil smoke every where) 570km. Was a good ride but had a gentile reminder how dangerous cars can be when i came across a car vs motorcycle head on.

Let me guess, the bike came second over the car.

Musta been you I saw on the straights when I was heading home from Taupo with Smokey.
Lots of bikes on the Taupo rd.

Was below road level, car was hidden in bushes pointing away from the road, could only see the back and his radar was'nt on as I had my detector in ute.

You could try and catch me down the back straight at the taupo track on the 5th and see if the bike holds out!

Haha, The seize in top gear was quite exciting (flat spot on my NEW tyre), and the drive home to get spares and race on the Sunday worked out, Got 2 seconds off my best lap time and then blew the crank

Not to worry , Its going to be ready for the TRRS 27th/28th Dec, and I'm working on getting my TZR going to and do Pre82 and Pre89

You guys missed a blinder at Taupo dragstip on saturday, took the old bandit up and came home with a second place trophy. Wicked fun, although to get to the mid 10's she needs to go on to a diet, so the grinder has already been employed
