    What happened to the 848?

Funny, I have never heard a good thing said by anyone ( except Dooley about the parts dept ) and my own exprience with them is why I don't deal with them.

Yeah its a shame, I've always had good service from their parts, Martin & his team there.

People always put down the Duc dealer, Casbolts in ChCh, but I brought my SS off them and they went out of their way to get it for me off a guy from Nelson, as I wanted a NZ new one not a Jap import.

Hamilton Motorcycles no better. Took the 999 to them for a full service at 15,000km( belts, C02 adjust and everything else that was required) and also asked them to change the fuel filter as we had a wee problem with it stalling under hard braking. They said the fuel filter was not due until 40,000km so they elected not to change it even though I asked them to. did a track day at Taupo the following day and it stalled when braking so many times , I got black flagged.
Took it to a mate next week and we took out the fuel filter , it was a wonder it ran on 1 cylinder, let alone two it was so blocked. Don't go there either.
If you want your Ducati serviced you can not go past Des at Redfox Motorcycles in Levin or Pete at Total Motorcycles , Palmerston North . They also do race bikes for many top racers.

Yeah Ducs.......working on Andy's from BF at the moment.
    Yep, they're character building.

I've been able to sort any issues out myself on mine so far.
They're not actually that diffulcult, people just get hung up on shims/belts etc etc.
2vs are easy, 4vs a bit more techy.
Trouble is no one around here has the factory computer plug in thingies if you need anything like that done.
    Can be time consuming tho.

I know one of the service bosses at the Bay Ford places here and he's been making noises about bike servicing etc at their Ford dealership???
Seems a recipe for disaster IMO from what I know how those places work.

Unedited so watch out there are mischief people on it.

Wind noise wasnt to bad considering i was reaching over 220 clicks
Old post, I know, but I got a bit of a surprise when I started watching the video and lo and behold, the road I've lived up for about seven or eight years. Gotta say, it looks much... straighter... from that camera perspective.

won't make much difference, had a new tyres put on last week when replacing back wheel the worker asked if i whated the chain adjusted up. same person also was going to remove whole exhaust system to take off back wheel.
