What ya reckon - not too early
Least we can see the firkin start of the thing
    I was thinking:
    - 7am start from Bay View BP.
    - 8.30am Taupo By-pass.
    - 9am Tokoroa and petrol + a drink
    - 9.30am Tirau and turn in to SH 27
    - 10.30am in Paeroa.

Leaves you an hour to get sorted before first race. I have no interest to be there at 9.30 and 2 hours before first race.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Perhaps I should re-phrase: One hour before first race is enough time for me as I know none of the racers and am only there to enjoy the racing and the athmosphere. I am planning to go others or not. Feel free to join in.

It is a little more than 300Km's one way so easily achievable.

I might shoot the gap by 6.30am. Will probably see guys on the road. I may be sitting in a cafe somewhere. So beep if you spot the bike parked up.

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

    Smile Mission accomplished!

Left at 7am and arrived at Paeroa 10.30am.

While you guys had rain in HB we had sun and heat in Paeroa.

Have some pics I will load somewhere on KB later.

Thanks to the ones who rode with me!. Smooth and no issues.

Coming back we hit rain in the hills, and I was left behind. Might have to reconsider my dislike for a visor...

relaxed Shortish ride to a local point of interest . All welcome and riders encouraged to be aware of speed limits ,

    Hey All,

Thought I'd better remind ya about the Ashhurst Inn Apiti Scamper 2011.

Come for a great ride, great burger, great company and a very very worthwhile auction, with amazing items from a Weekend away, ferry crossings, riding jackets, restaurant vouchers, and food hampers. Most of the stuff went last year for next to nix, ask Robertydog, he'll tell ya.

See ya all on the second, if you don't know where the Inn is, it is the Red Pub you can see from the main road in Ashhurst.

    manfield

Okay, lawence and Maca are leaving BP Stortford at 8:30 Sunday, they both came on the "Stewarts electrical" ride to manfield for the last round of the nationals, so why don't we all go down together? Not sure if I will give you all a sporting chance and bring the old "sweesuki" or the GIXXER LOL. Let me know, I will put the keys in a hat and draw one out!!!!
