Hawke's Bay weekend rides

Been looking on my map and have marked out a route in green.
Basically goes from Napier then off HW50 thru Valley Rd etc to Argylle, thru Otane to our fav pitstop Patangata pub, then back the other way Kahuranaki Rd, the opposite way we normally go, to Napier/Hav etc.
Looks a good ride, but on the map only about 24 inches

Maybe meet a bit earlier to allow for a drink at the Patangata etc, what do you all think?

Hey Dooly. Congrats on setting up the map for an excellent scenic route. Intending riders can print it off and refer to it in the (unlikely) event that they get lost. Yeah, a pit stop at Patangata is essential. Socialising is one of the important factors of a ride such as this. Corners are the other factor.

But hey, those who are a little bit intimidated - don't be! You ALWAYS ride at the speed THAT YOU feel comfortable at. Always!!!!!!!!

I would've fronted 'cept for a planned Ulysses ride.

Not sure about Monday, open to offers, but are meant to be getting a horsefloat sometime during the day so that could enter into my day.

I know today being gorgeous, me and the step son are off for a blast somewhere this arvo.

Well me and me mate tuned up at 11.15 at the BP Taradale Road the joker in the Garage said Nobody meets there, so we bus off to the BP Greenmedows and nobody there so we go back to Taradale Road and wait.

Still nobody arrives so we went for the ride had lunch at the Patangata that was real nice and then shot back to Havelock, we had a good ride but a bit disapointed no one else turned up. Did I get the Time rong or summet.

The Patangata pub sure is a biker drop in zone.

Everytime we go there, theres always bikers there or passing thru.

By fuck that Aprilia there today was nice!!!

What was the food like at the pub?

As we were leaving a trike, Triumph Daytona and Aprilia turned up, yes its a great place to meet.

Yeah sorry guys, had to measure up a job at Otane on the way back, by the time I finished that the Duchess said she had enough......which meant take me home now...so you know how it is

Still was a good ride for us...bloody cold first thing this morning though..but came right after lunch. Passed a lot of bikers

and quite a few

.....and guess what....everyone one

Hope we can get together over the next couple of days...cheers W
