Yes, me being stubborn, I wanted to learn to do it myself (how else do you learn). I changed the spark plugs under the watchful eye of one slow tl1000.... (he he he) and all was well. I proceeded to drain the oil, attached the new filter, when one slippery tl1000 (oh, sorry Todd, fingers slipped on keyboard) proceeded to undo the sump bung (can't blame me!). Anyway, when the time came to re-insert it - it would not tighten as the previous owner had obviously had trouble with it in the past and added another washer - hence too much strain on it (or so I'm informed by those who know more than me - yes, it is possible). Craig from Five Star said there are only so many times you can remove the bung due to the alloy construction, before something like this happens. They put in a helicoil (I call it a helicopter - sounds funnier) and its now all fixed

So.... there! I had to pull out the SV and it was fun actually. After the weekend's road toll, it was deemed to be a slower ride, and everyone rode quieter than normal.
so next time I hope the helicore does come out with the bung like happened to me!

It was a good ride on Sunday. Hard work two up on the twisty bits but worth the effort. Yeehah my ticket for Phillip Island arrived today. Mr Rossi has by default closed up the championship quite nicely.
Please sir I would like some more

Wanted to add but thought it wasnt quite right to add into the last post. Sorry to hear about the crash on Middle Rd. Its a great Rd with some nice bends but obviously very unforgiving if you get yourself off line.
Please sir I would like some more

Oh buggar! That would not be good. Five Star put mine in today, and I watched.... and learned some more about it too. He knew what he was doing, so I know its in correctly.

Well, I know its called the sump plug that you remove to drain the oil out LOL - so, nothing too perculier about my special zuki. But all fixed now, and she'll be raring to go this fine weekend.....

Arrr shut-up We went in 2007. Loved every minute of it. 3 days at the track all day. Mary Mooo and I have never had a better 3days in our lives. What a great place. A few pic’s to give you an idea of what you might see

Note it was only 9 deg c. Very cold wind. We were in the stand called Siberia. Nambed for a reason but the view of the whole track was great. Good on ya....... I have never seen my Mooo smile so much as she did at the track. What a great place. We will go back one day................

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever
