Experienced the sportsbike swarm last night from a vehicle driver's viewpoint.
Was near home at Maraekakaho with a few cars on the road about 6ish on the way from work.
Saw fast approaching bike lights behind me. Next thing about 6 bikes swooped on us. It was the guys that ride on Thursdays, I recognised 2 of the bikes. They flew past us after sitting up our arses.
    Great stuff for them.
But to the two guys who passed me on a double yellow on a bend with oncoming cars close...........you're fuckwits.
    Enjoy your short life huh.
    Just take yourself out only.

Yep with all the power that they have between their legs, they could wait another 5 seconds to get past the yellow lines. But i guess that happens when you race. And i wonder if any of them had been to any of the 4 track days over trhe last week.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Thanks G....was I really that slow? Rhetorical question, thank you.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You wouldn't want them to be at track days, cos if they do that on the open road they would probably nock you off on the corners.

That's why some of us stopped riding with them. 5 seconds means you know were they went or you are now lost in the roads of Hawkes Bay to find your own way home.

I did do track days with some of them a few years ago. They can do it on the track ok but should not bring it to the road.

I must be getting old, complaining about bikers eh?

I can now see how someone might be unnerved by large loud bikes cutting across and flying in between them.
I imagine little old ladies or faggy types might fill their undies.

Yeah I guess we've all done silly things on the road, but passing on yellows with traffic oncoming is lunacy.

Each to their own I guess.

That is one of the Thursday boys (also Sat 2pm Mobil Taradale Rd) 'party tricks'.
I believe one of them was supposed to have written off 4 bikes in a year and was quite proud of the fact. Lunacy for sure.

John went over to pick up SC and on the way hoime noticed a clicking sound, popped in to 5Star, they couldn't find it but appears that his front disc is warped. So no ride today
