Motorcycle Heaven right here on Earth!

The day started as any other Thursday morning. Got up and logged on to KB, got kids off to school then got a PM from DMNTD to see if I wanted to check out some really sexy MV Agustas at Taupo. Sounded like a great way to spend an afternoon so I did my shit in town then got my bike gear on and headed down to Taupo. On arrival there were half a dozen bikes hooning around track #2. All very nice to watch others having all the fun(Tui) but next thing I was offered a go on the track if I just sign the dotted line.... Got introduced to Paul who had brought all the lovely exotic bike to play with.

Took little Ratty out for the first time on Taupo track and foud out that my braking points were COMPLETELY different to the ones I'd been using on my ZXR. Ratty has no brakes to speak of! Did a few laps on the old girl and felt sorry for her being so old and not really up to track riding, so brought her in and asked Paul if I could have a go on the very nice 916. Well this bike had all the goodies and handled like a wet dream! The V twin power didn't take much to get used to and I was soon flying around the track, hanging off it and thought to myself, life dosen't get much better than this! I was having so much fun and didn't want to get off the Duke but the red flag was out so it was last lap & I was last off the track.

A short break and the full track was opened up so I took little Ratty out again just to see the new lay out where the old and new tracks meet. My first time with this lay out as last time we had the flip-flops(which was my favourite part of the track.) Got the hang of it then brought Ratty in and asked really nicely if I could have a go on the Brutale. Well this bike was something else! I'd never felt such awesome power and it wasn't long before I was hanging off it and loved every minute of it! The sit upright position was hard on my little girly arms and I couldn't go too fast down the back straight for fear of ending up like a sheet in the wind. The power of that thing was phenomenal and I only revved it to about 8 grand....it goes to 15! As I was finding the Brutale hard work, I brought it in in the hope of a turn on the MV SENNA! Was my lucky day! I mounted the Senna and gushed all the way out the pit lane and onto the track. Took it real easy for the first couple of laps then got into the groove and fell in love all over again! This bike is by far the best bike I have ever ridden. Words cannot describe the feeling of Taupo Full Track on an MV Senna!! It was heaven! I now fear I am spoiled for all other bikes. I think the only thing that could possibly top the experience would be a ride on a Britten! I live in hope.

Huge thanks to DMNTD and Unit for the invite and to Paul for sharing his toys and spreading the love! I cant wipe the grin off my face.

    Talking

LOL...I'm still dribbling too Kel!! Sorry for that vision but FARK!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was without doubt the best motorcycling day of my LIFE...bar none!
First up for me was a blast on the Brutale...omfg...I mean I knew I wasn't going to have to pay for the track but I NEVER expected to be able to just jump on this man's (Paul's) bling bling toys and thrash...yes,thrash their wee arses off
Absolutely loved the Brutale....my sort of bike fore sure!
Then...916 Duc...YUMMY sounding bike that handled like a wet dream! Oh the purr as I hooned around the track was divine!

Oh...yes...the best bike I've ever ridden...the latest MV Senna
I had no idea how good a bike could ride until I rode that baby!! Holy snapping bum bums!
Hit 5,500rpm and fark me!!!!!!! The ride was simply extraordinary...pure motorcycle in which in my limited experience on a track could not find fault in any way.

Oh yeah...I did abuse my new ZX10 and Unit's RSVR too but for some reason they weren't the hight of the day. Strange that!

Huge thanks goes out to Paul and the boys at Bay City Motorcycles for the best motorcycling day in my life!!!!!!

Did I mention that I've been invited to go once a month?
