It will be 28-30th March 2008. At this stage we can not confirm where it will be held at except to say that it will not be at Sedonville.

Awesome, it will be interesting where the Mok' will end up, well at lest we will not have to contend with that crazy paddock.... I will be sure to be at that one again.
And it would be also great to make the Sunny one... if there was no clashing dates with other rallies that would be a bonus, along with the daylight saving stuff....

I had thought about heading along to the rally but given the conditions and the fact that I'm a learner I decided against it...Given your stories of "exciting" journeys to and fro I'm quite pleased I didn't give it a go...

Looking forward to the Cholmondeley Childrens Home Fund Run this weekend though!

This may be from left field BUT the comments I got from CHCH riders who turned up at Beaumont Valley Rally was that Sundown was "just up the road", so a longer ride was preferable. Now in saying that, a longer ride would put Hanmer Springs on the map and a 2 nighter especially on a holiday weekend in a holiday town would attract bikers from a wider radius, would it not? And then that extra day to get home.

Along with all the other holiday makers that venture to Hanmer you can go to Hanmer any time through the year. And have you dealt with some of the half-wit traffic that head towards Hanmer on a Holiday weekend

There used to be the Alpine Rally at Hanmer based at the forestry camp, but it folded when the camp got sold. I always enjoyed that rally, and it attracted a decent sized crowd.

So don't do it on a long weekend. There's always other things on at Easter to compete with as well. A normal weekend is fine ... unless it's the Sundown weekend, then it's wet
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!
