Wow congratulations. And Holy shit - instant parenthood. I wasn't as lucky, carried very obviously & morning sickness/fatigue etc etc. Very envious of your other half, shame more women can't feel 'normal' during pregnancy. However a bit of a shock for you guys.

Hope you've got family & financial support for the new addition.

I quite like Rhianna for a name, but hey opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one, and every one thinks - everyone else's stinks.

Hope you settle on Bubs name and she's a stunner by the way.

Awesome news - ps definitey sell story to the ladie mags - grab some dosh to pay for all the babygear!

    Thats amazing!!
Congrates and merry parenthood to you and your partner!

Bubs is sooo cute, looks like you and your gf did very well indeed to produce such a georgous wee poppit...even it was a tad unexpected.

Not much time to get yourself sorted on the home front, but i bet the help will come thick and strong.

When my first came along, no one new I was pregnant until I told them. She kept herself well hidden right up until the end. We were struggling financially at the time and her first 'cot' was a deep drawer on top of the dresser next to the bed.

Enjoy every minute you can with her sunshine, the buggers grow so fast.

    Haha, congratulations dude!

Let me know if you want the training schedule I had my daughter on from her 1st birthday, she can now fluently mount and dismount her bike as well as ride it at 15 months.

I was too busy eating a pie when she was born to get emotional, however a tear was shed when she first rode her bike. Precious moments.

It's not like the stereo-type you see in the movies.

I suppose you think a sexual encounter consists of hot steamy passionate kissing on a rose drenched bed with sombre lighting fading into a morning scene of silence and white sheets tangled around two bodies.

Actually, a piercing glow from a computer screen lit up with images of busty blond females in the nude while stomping away at your bleech white penis with a hairy knuckle hand is more your sort of sexual encounter, hm?

Well actually it's more like the first one, but whatever makes you feel better eh

Also... stereotypes exist for a reason, and although somewhat blown out of proportion, are usually at least partially correct.

That's one amazing story you'll be telling for years. Congratulations!!

Can't help but feel that you've missed out though.... ante natal classes for instance - many times you meet people there that become family friends for life (all the kids are the same age and you're interested in the same things at the same time). You (she) may be able to join mothers groups or something, but the Dads don't generally get to "bond"... really is worth checking this sort of thing out as the support is invaluable - its different from family.

Also you've missed out on those dates (going to the movies etc) with your girlfriend while pregnant knowing you won't be able to do that for a few years, without feeling a little guilty even if you have good family support. Sorry, don't really know a way around this - but just a tip for next time.

Very minor stuff but that ante natal coffee group thing is worth pursuing. The important thing is Mum Dad and baby are healthy!!! Congratulations again!!

That happened to a girl in the Navy. It was quite the topic of conversation for a long time.
