anyone know what the heck happened in that big crash? i hear there was a few broken bones?
Found out a bit about the crash today, apparently one of the guys was taken to Waikato hospital. They operated on him and finished opp at 2.am this morning, he has a dislocated ankle and a break above that. The other guys in Rotorua hospital but not sure of the details.

Story I heard is that one dude was looking around to the right to see where his girlfriend was who he was leadind around the track, I guess to try to show her some good lines !, other dude also looking around to the right and veering offline, another rider comes along and hits the BMW fair and square up the date, he was riding from what I heard a GSXR 1000, which is completly toasted. I came upon the crash not long after it happened and it was not a pretty site, bits of bike, a visor, bits of clothes and fuel strewn quite a distance up the track. I wish them a speedy recovery and hope they do not have any long term effects from their unfortunate accident.

Thats as much as I no.

Bring on the next track day.

First off - thanks MotoTT for another excellent day on the track. Weather couldn't have been better. Perfectly dry and perfectly clear.

I left well before the crash, but here's hoping the rider(s) are back on their feet and back on their bikes soon.

Highlight was definitely having Shaun set up the Blade's suspension properly. It was like a different bike afterwards. Before, the fron end was a bit vague and I had correct the line constantly going round corners. Afterwards, it tracked straight and true, held its line and inspired a lot more confidence. So much, I actually got my knee down for the first time Also fantastic to see that Gixxer Mr Stroud was riding. Fuuuuuuck, that thing was fast!

After a small 'oh shit' moment in the fourth session, I decided to call it a day. Obviously the rear tyre letting go coming out of the hairpin at the end of the pit straight was all to do with the tyre being knackered, and nothing to do with my general lack of skill and ability ...

    Yeeeeeeha, what a great day
Got my knee down for the first time ever, then did it three more times.

Unfortunatly Andrew crashed the turbo GSXR, it was looking VERY second hand, I certainly wouldnt want to be the one making the call to the owner.
