    Body armour

Ive Been looking into purchasing some body armour.

The problem i have is where to get it from,

I Really like the dainese "The Commander" (http://www.dainese.com/eng/articolo....ticolo=1875184) looks nice and light and breatheable good for hot summers where leather can get impractable in 30+ Degree days, but still offers back protector and shoulder support.

Any ideas where i can get stuff like this from.....? or any other ideas for similar products?

I like Velocity Gear because they are reasonably priced and CE level 2 compliant. American, but they'll ship overseas with no hassle.

I use MX body armour when I wear my Draggin Jeans and Draggin Jacket.

    I also use knee protectors

Kind neat to feel safe enough to go hard while from the outside it looks like you're just wearing camo jeans and a denim jacket

I got this armour from my local shop in KeriKeri

    http://www.forbesanddavies.co.nz/pro...eEntry_PK=1783

It's made by Neo, I use it for offroad, but I come off pretty quick on gravel & it worked good.

I don't have the back protector on so I can't comment what it would be like that, but as I run it it's been good at not overheating, I wear it under my mx shirt, there's minimal hassles turning your head.

It's a tight fit, I got XL, which I use for everything else & I probably should have got XXL.

It goes through the washing machine to , which is handy.

looks good quasi, has it got the "tailbone protector" bit? I'm not sure what MNZ says you need in the way of a backprotector, but i'm after some, and thats a good price, the alpinestar ones are about $300.

Takitimu, which bike shop was that? the one in Waipapa? How much was that "defender armour? I need some for bucket racing!
    Sorry Officer - I wasn't speeding, i was qualifying...

www.bimoto.be (in Belgium) can get you anything from the Dainese catalogue. I've used them a few times now and they're fast, helpful, reliable and cheap - what more could you ask for? If you ever go down to Melbourne then Peter Stevens has a ton of Dainese gear in stock.

A big motorbike shop in Elizabeth St with a huge array of gear up on level 2. Lots and lots of Dainese gear.
