Having grown up on the back of my dads bike i dont see anything wrong with taking a kid on a bike. As long as you prepare them properly and are confident enough to ride with them. Just before I left the states my dad took my 1 year old niece out for a short blat down the road. He didnt go above 4 MPH and it was fine. As for me im only 21 so i dont have to worry about kids, and I feel confident enough to carry adults but not little kids.
