    Motel in Taupo is Beechtree Motel. Very nice - tell them Vic Club sent ya, hopefully they'll give you a good deal

    Um how does one get to Turangi and/or where is it in relation to Taupo - I've been there but geography was NEVER my strongpoint.

    Approx 15mins ride south of Taupo from what I can remember.........on the other side of Lake Taupo. Riding up from Wellington - it's at the end of the Desert Road.
