To all those who work weekends...

    I salute you.

Been suckered into working today and tomorrow in a dirty big warehouse, solo charge and with sod all to do.

So it's me, my laptop and some kick ass speakers listening to Gate Crasher all day.

Might chuck a harness on later and cane a stock picker up and down the aisles later to make it look like a productive day though... but that could mean getting my hands dirty taking the b'stard off the charger...

To all those working this weekend, may your day be as cruisy, and your eventual ride time be equally relaxing.

(If anyone is swinging through Mt Wellington with a spare feed of McD's, feel free to pop in and say hi! )

Count the rafters - that should be fun...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

    Blah

    great stuff..

im working the weekend too... I get to look after the mentally ill for 12 hours... always a good laugh. Prob end up doing what I normally do, sit down in the lounge and watch tv with my patients all day. Cook a big feed for lunch, then fill out my time sheet - cos im gunna get paid! heheh

...all fun and games till they get bored and try and stab me with a plastic spoon or something equally boring.

packed my top box with bike mags...

    Go the weekend!

I could always go up and count them close up.

Flying paper planes from a stock picker 19 metres up is always a good way to kill 10 minutes...

Mind you, I do get to go and make 3 deliveries throughout the day to the hospital, so that will add some zest to it all... [insert Tui ad]

Yay! I used to do similar when I worked for the IHC.

Worked in a low dependency house, so the clients pretty much did everything. I turned up, got fed, and went home.

    Hell of a job that.

IHC? Thats very low dependency! Great fun though. I look after the 'severly disturbed' - usually custom made facilities with high security. On the outside it still looks like a 'normal' house but inside.... well...

plus turning up on my bike always puts the fear of god in my patients...

You make it sound like an average South Auckland household, occupants and all

Thanks, I work every second weekend, you tend to get used to it after a while
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

This is only for 4 weekends.

It was a trade off, I want to go to the Track Day at Pukekohe on Monday, the boss wanted someone to work 4 weekends.

Bikes > Working a Monday so a no brainer really!

No wife, no kids, no hassles, no bloody door to door Kirby salesmen! (Buggers have been round 3 times in 2 days!)

Loud thumping techno/dance/trance music echoing through the warehouse (though the GnR and Metallica will play later...) and most of all, a pantload of management level coffee beans for me to tax all day long!

I almost feel guilty putting in a timesheet for this... naaaah...
