    Clutch basket for Kawasaki

    Hey,

Apparently i need a new clutch basket for my 1990 kawasaki zxr250 and they are hard to find. I don't suppose anyone knows where or how to find them.

    thanks.

Exactly what's wrong with your clutch basket?
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

pretty much, the bike makes a rattling sound. and some guy told me to put it in first, and without accelerating, release the clutch slowly. at a certain point, the rattling stopped, and he told me that this means that i need a new clutch basket. I dunno alot bout bikes and mechanics so i wouldnt know.

That's a fairly drastic measure for a rattley clutch.

What are the symptoms and when do they occur?

I think you should get a second, proffessional opinion. If rattling means it will spit the dummy and break shortly then replace it, but if it just means its rattly, then save yourself some money and leave it alone.

It's more of a ticking than rattling. comes from the right side of bike. and increases when i ride the bike, but not when i increase revs. its not like its mettal rattling together but something ticking inside the clutch/engine.
