I'll be taking my younger son on the back this year. Already got my leave booked in at work.
The weather can't be worse than last year riding down can it, anyway that wont stop us.
At the brass monkey the rumour going around was that this will be the last year that the Ruapehu MC will be hosting before handing over to another club. I guess that we will find out on the day what is really happening.

Death & I will be going (with Fastford), and a few others with us too. Last year i talked to one of the club members, who also said that this would probably be the last one. There is an overseas trip up for grabs for anyone prebooking their ticket too. (I'll PMSL if fastford wins a trip back home to auz) Anyway, always room for more in our group if anyone wants company. We're planning to leave after my lecture on fri morn. Fingers crossed for better weather than last year.

For those who know me this won't be a surprise, but I'm not going. I hope it's better weather for you guys/guyesses too. We were through Waiouru on the Sat mng last year and it was a bit wet and cold (we were in the car). I don't mind admiting I'm a woose. But I'm sure you will all have a great time.

I do hope it's not the last one.

yup, I'm keen. I missed the crust whether last time because I arrived on Saturday but still had a great time despite missing the hill climb. I'm keen to go on Friday this year though. Won't be bringing the wife though... she has enough trouble staying warm in front out the fireplace in Auckland, let alone outside on the central plateau! Works ok tho cause she can do girly stuff while I'm away

No I can't but it just part of the rich tapestry of motorcycledom which makes you do silly things in a group.

My favourite years were when I took the RG50 from wgtn. 6 years I think! Great fun riding around at the site like a total prat on the grass on a 50.

Best one was when my girlfriend of the time had a CG110 & Doug Green’s brother (Murray perhaps?) took a Kawi 100 that was running in, & we slipstreamed all the way up there. Unlike Milton whose 100 didn’t make it through the Haitaiti tunnel.

I’m going to miss this one. First one in 17yrs & for a lousy excuse like having to go to a wedding. (not mine even). Still I had my quotient of cold at the Brass this year & have the Lemming run in a week’s time to remind me.

Have one for me while you are there guys!!
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
