Thumbs up Myths, and a dash of truth:

This is what the English aristocracy, upper middle class taught their woman in the 17-1800's.

I can think of a FEW woman like it today.

Under the Aristocracy system the woman was only mated for the BLOOD LINE.

It was normal for the Male to have a MISTRESS, if he wanted to partake in any Excitement, or Deviant behaviour.

The French Women were a bit more "outgoing" although it was normal for the man to have a Lover or Three.

A bloody good mate of mine is HINDU, he had to go through a Parental bride selected process.

Their way is to introduce the couple, the couple talk! yep they get right down to it, No holes barred, just like this , "you want what" I can do that, I don't like that each voicing their concerns, etc etc.

In My mates case, They actually went through the Karmasutra together,he originally told his Mum & dad that he did not want to Marry the girl, because "as they went through the Karmasutra together", she was always voicing her disgust:

Her parents "Mother and Grandmother" sat her down and Talked to her, she obviously changed her way of thinking, as did he , He said they reached a verbal compromise.

The last time we where together was 2002, and they had been married 22years, I actually reminded him in a joking kinda way about the process I was privy to back then.

With a beer in his hand, this was his reply, "I have nothing to regret, I can live the rest of my time happy with her". She is a good wife! (His words)

Laugh if you will, but it is interesting to know that this sort of thing is more common than not in the Indian Community, and the vast majority of the marriges last the full distance.

Missing something as a society! I rekon so.

Now as for me! Knickers off sweatheart, I'm coming home? I expect nothing less.
