Condolences on your loss. Lost a few cats over the years myself, can be very painful. As you can imagine, I'm now pet less.

Couple nights ago at 9pm in a 70km zone, I tested my cages new front tyres and ABS brakes. They worked and this B&W moggie survived to live another day and I didn't have to find its owner.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

So sorry to hear about poor Morpheus. What a gorgeous kitty!

I'm very paranoid about this happening to our kitten seeing how we live in boyracer central in Christchurch. Guess she's just not going to be an outdoors cat.

It is kind of funny isn't it, how a little demanding, do as they please ball of fluff can make you feel such loss.
Sympathy to you guys, we still miss our cat from about 3 years ago.

Yeah its pretty amazing how they sneak into your heart and stay there... My baby Gina died September 2003, she was in her twenties...

Even though I am now in a different country and my whole life has changed, at times when I wake up... that moment before you are fully conscious I reach to stroke her, even after all this time.

My heart feels for you... its not a nice sadness to know.

    Take the blue pill, Morpheus.

Commiserations. As former cat people, we are still officially in mourning.

    Bugger.

It can be like losing family, as it felt when I lost Ken the Galah a few years ago (flying accident). As said before, commiserations.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. I remember when I was 13, we had this cat turn up on our door step, so we adopted him. He was such a character and even my Mum got to like him, she wasn't a cat person. He got run over one night and we were all devastated. Mum wouldn't let us see him cause he was pretty messed up. RIP Sox.

    RIP Morpheus.

    RIP Morpheus

We have three cats which are basically our children or we are their slaves........haven't quite decided yet.

We lost one last year and my wife took it really hard (all our cats come from abusive homes) we paid for a cremation (really inexpensive) etc so the cat can be with her always. It helped my wife a lot in doing this.

Thanks for the kind words, all.

Yesterday was pretty horrible. Especially at the 24 hour mark.

I decided to have him cremated and then will probably bury him in the garden where he liked to sleep in the sun.

Next hurdle will be going to pick his ashes up. Not looking forward to that.

    Thanks again, everyone.

Damn, I love cats, sorry to hear apteryx.

I have been down in chch since wed morning, and the Copthorne Hotel where I am lodged, has a resident burmese/siamese, who has free reign of the hotel, and is an awesome puss. He sat on my lap all through dinner on Thursday.
