    Keystone PMCC Last Round 2007

Just a quick report to say I had a ball. Nothing to prove, not sitting anywhere special in the points table after missing a round, so just an opportunity to have some fun, practice a few things and watch the others race.

I did F2 and F3 so a total of 6 races. Really enjoyed F2 and as the day wore on sneaked further up the grid to see if I could stick with the faster bikes. Was practicing starts and holding my line into corner one. So lots achieved in that regard. Managed to stick with the fast boys too despite getting held up by a couple of motards.

F3 I was keen to see if the speed I've gained over the past few meetings translated into speed at Taupo. And yes, it does. By my placing in the series I should have been on the third row but after Kyle had his off his dad told me to take his pole position so I did. Final race and I got an awesome start and was first into corner one. Held that position and had apparently opened up a gap but leaned the bike a little too much into corner one on lap two and low sided off the bike. No major damage to me or the bike thankfully.

Really fun day of racing, learnt heaps, getting more aggressive into corner one I think, diced with motards, outbraked sportsbikes, played with the fast guys, generally just a damn good day.

Big ups to everyone who raced - and awesome to see 7 women in Clubmans!

Oh, and I've decided I won't be racing on April 1st again - my record of crashing on April 1st is realllllly bad....

Hey babe, you were looking really good out there. Was gutted when you and the bike decided to have a little lie down on corner 1, but thankfully the damage to you both was minor.

Here's a piccie of you dicing with motards.

WAY TO GO JILL. Sorry to hear about the off. But well... you are pushing yourself quite a bit these days. Great to hear also that you have improved your only "weakness"... aggressive starts.

Blardy hell you must have taken some aggression pills to dice with those Motards given your last encounter.

Pity I missed it but alas work Saturday and my bung ankle wouldn't have got me all the way down there......keep up the awesome work

You looked awesome out there Jill, so smooth and consistent. Have meant to comment on that.... I've been timing you at various race meetings, and the times are often consistently within the same second - I know thats real hard to do!! And the lean angles you get..... Spectacular!!

Sorry to hear bout the lowside - we left after the delayed F1 race - glad not too much damage to you or the bike!!
