Hiya everyone, I'm after a bit of advice here.
My old gloves had the stiching coming apart on one finger..not a real problem day to day, but I wasn't sure what would happen in a fall.
They were well worn, pretty comfy, and probably a bit stretched after getting wet several times...sometimes I'd get folds or bunches across the right palm, which felt a bit wrong.
So I bought some new gloves from TradeMe, although they were a large, where my old pair were an XL the measurements sounded like they'd fit, and they looked good for the price.
They seemed to fit fine when I tried them on, but now that I've ridden with them there are a few funny things.
The black vents on each finger are completely solid, and when I bend my fingers they dig in across my knuckles.
This is only a mild discomfort...on the plus side, because I wasn't able to bend my fingers as easily, I found I didn't establish a death grib on the bars...and my hands felt less tired when I got home.
So what I'd like advice on is whether the knuckle stuffness etc sounds like a problem..or whether it's commonplace on gloves with all those extra protective bits.
Also whether the size difference could be an issue...while they fit they are quite snug..do you need/want room inside the gloves or should they be as fitted as possible
Pic included, new gloves are the yellow ones on the left, old are the black ones on the right.
Cheers in advance for any helpful tips
