Just about to put her in for first 1000km service.
I've been pretty careful running it in, but taking in all different types of advice, have pushed her occasionally just to keep reminding her she can rev higher
Since I'm so new at all this bike riding, I'm not sure about things to get the dealer to check for first service. For the most part, it's been completely trouble free, but I could be missing something due to inexperience..
The flat spot in third that I've heard people talk about - would I definitely know it if I felt it? Or is it something that possibly will eventuate after first service? Given that I've got an 07 model perhaps this was all sorted with this release?
Also, when I'm in neutral sometimes and go to shift down to first to ride off at the lights, even if I've shifted down cleanly as I've come to a stop to neutral, sometimes I need to release the clutch ever so slighty before shifting into to first. Is that a normal bike thing or should I get the dealer to check it out? It's intermittent, doesn't "feel" like it would be a major as it does click in fine each time, but would rather get it checked out now if it's a possible fault.
Any other things I should be looking at before it goes in next week - just wanna be prepared in case I don't tell them something is wrong, when I don't actually know something is wrong...
