Thanks for the apologies. I really enjoyed reading the first few posts about a great riding experience. I hope future posts will be relevent to the initial subject of this thread.

Fair enough, but you are as guilty as he in trying to get the last word in.

Nowhere in my posts did I make personal attacks based purely on assumption, as you have just done. But as this thread has now turned into a seething mess (as a result of only my post? Can't argue on your own...), I'll refrain from further comment.
Devient, you are causing this to be ongoing maybe switch to PM's if you wish to continue the conversation with yod.

And now for something completely different... back on thread topic!

Big Dog, that was a fulsome and effervescent extrapolation of your synergetic harmony of zen and motorcycling! I was moved and carried along on the tides of emotion, I could feel it in your writing and could mentally see myself riding there...

The extended metaphor of the existential confusion we find in our busy, modern lives is nicely juxtaposed by your poetic allusion to a favourite lyric. It is that unbidden music woven in our soul that yearns to be unleashed... and as bikers, I think we touch on that elusive silver cord now and then (and more often than the hoi polloi inured to the joys of two wheels of freedom).

I for one, wholeheartedly embrace the spirit you have professed and love that "being in the moment" heart and soul melding. The schism we have between those intangibles that make us people, conflicting with the material attachments we have is a paradoxical situation. We are free in our minds, but with our bikes, we are freer more often in not thinking when we are in the spirit of the ride...

Dizzam I think I'm on what BD is on at the moment all good!

I just believe that those who use the english language, especially those better taught than myself, should use it to the full, and stop hiding behind abbreviations and colloquialisms to justify being a pack of lazy shits.

I recently had the opportunity to have some feijoa wine (NZ of course), but damned if I can remember the name. Very interesting - have you tried it?
