    Clear plastic wanted

Does anyone know where I can purchase some clear plastic sheeting about 1mm thick?

Need it to make a new screen for my race bike as I've cracked my current one.

    Thanks!

In Wellington it's Capital Plastics who have all sizes shapes and materials ... including cool stuff like polycarbonate.

I just googled it and there's heaps of auckland distributors. "Use the Internet Luke, it is your friend"

there's a signwriter on Victoria St, just down from Les Mills.

    Try them.

Is the screen the same dimensions as the stock one? If you're not too anal about weight, a mate of mine sells them on trademe for around $80 I think, might have one for your bike. They're a bit lighter than OEM, still pretty good quality. Had one on my road bike.

Thanks Phil. Problem with the stock one is that I run a standard SV fairing mount but a gsxr fairing. So, an sv650 screen will fit but will need to drill fairing (no biggie, just would prefer not to if I don't have to), and a gsxr screen will fit but have to drill screen to fit mount.

Flexi plastic is also lighter as you say. And given that weight is the only advantage I have over the boys, I might just stick to the lightweight plastic at this stage.
