Its always fair game to bag people like the Monkees and John Denver but the fact is, they sold a shit load of albums and did some great stuff back in the day. I'd definately say let em in... A few of them went on to do stuff post Monkees that any muso would be happy with as a lifes work.

    Well that alone is justification....

Fact is - I like some of their music and if I was a musician and had the sales they did I'd be chuffed - didn't like the TV show much but... I don't really like TV much ..

Don't forget Hogans Heroes and Mash!!!
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Older than time mate - but still mostly functional, 100% fun and I could probably kick your arse and cover it up afterwards because the kids watch CSI. Difference is I'd laught about it ('cos I watched the Monkees on TV) and I recognise all the Who songs they play as the theme music to all the CSI varients...

well ok - maybe I couldn't kick your arse but I could talk you to death - or a decent ear ache...

No but if I could go back in time and pick which songs were going to be hits I would not be sitting here entertaining myself on KB... I'd pay someone to do that for me...

ps - seriously - The Who were (and still are) pretty damn good ...

Sorry CM, I havent sorted out mob scoot access to my house yet as I have another 50 years before I need one (what am I talking about...I ride a bike!)...however, I'll meet you at the entrance to the rest home, and I'll bring a cup of water for your teeth (they're bloody expensive I hear).
