    Great starter racebike for sale...

    Hi guys,

A mate has asked me to put this on the site. Would be a pretty good setup to get a hold of for getting into racing, stepping up from F3 or maybe an awesome spares kit for someone who already has a ZX6. The bike was quite competitive, make a good F2 bike but probably a bit off the pace for the nationals. He was absolutely fanatical about maintenance and the thing's just had a recent overhaul. Anyway following are details, give him a call if interested. Jamie - 0272917339.

ZX6r 1998 G1, Ohlins, resprung and valved forks, Arrow race system, factory race igniter, factory carb kit, adjustable cam sprockets, new wheel and swing arm bearings, new chain, selection of sprockets, New rings ( not run in yet) $5000 or with a spare set of wheels comp with disks and drive rubbers and rear stand $5500.

    Oh and he's also selling...

Tyre warmers, as new Sportsbike brand $700 www.sportsbike.co.au, maybe .com.au

Dianses back/front protector, sleveless zip on type as new $500

    Cheers,
    Nicko

Nope don't think so, I think he originally bought it as a crashed road bike. He may still have the road bits but don't think they'll be in great condition (the rest of the bike is straight though). He raced this bike in A grade at the Winter series a couple of years ago and was doing pretty damn well, I think he either came 1st or 2nd in the 600 class too.

I have had one of those & can thoroughly recommend them.
Don't be fooled by it's age etc those bikes are fast and handle really well.
If I had some spare cash I'd look at it myself...

Bikes in Auckland at the mo, getting it up or down the country wouldn't be too much trouble (e.g. I'm at Manfield for the 5th and 6th Vic club rounds). He's happy for anyone to inspect, just needs a little fore-warning as he's starting up a skydiving business on Waiheke - hence him giving up racing and needing the money.

I'll see if he can throw in a free sky-dive for ya Sparky!

Hi Nicko - I'm not interested in buying the bike, but say "hi" to Jamie for me. He's a nice guy.

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
