3rd time racing 1st time reporting PMC round 4

Ok 3rd time racing 1st time race report.

First off I have to say a HUGE THANKS to Jono aka Kickingzebra.
The hours he put into helping me with my bike, the use of his trailer and tools.
With out Jono pushing me into it at the start I dont think i would be racing now.

Ok so at the start of the day i was sitting 3rd over all in street stock about 90 points behind Road Rash (I missed the first round and my first time on the track was round 2 hence the huge gap in points). Who was only 1 point behind the leader.

My Goal for the day was to stick to Raod rash like Glue and maybe even stuff it up the inside of him once or twice over the day.

So saturday night load up the bikes and road rash heads down that night.
I opt to get up at 5am Sunday and drive down. Dumb move was so stuffed by the end of the day with lack of sleep.

Get to the track at 8 to find Road rash already has the bikes unloaded and the easy up already up and is helping Jono unload his bike. Go do all the other crap that I have to do, hand over lots of money you know that sorta thing.

Then the waiting starts. So I go find Mudboy and give him Crap about being slow and how I am going to kick his ass lol.

Once we get out on the track for i am raiding like crap over cooking corners all over the place. And thinking to myself I better not let mudboy beat me asfter all that trash talk lol.

Race1: I get an ok start Right behind Road rash. We take off from the rest of the street stock guys and start to mix it with the classics get held up in T1
only to see the leader of the street stock class go by. After we get past some mroe of the slower classics We have a good little battle for 2nd place going I would pass him under brakes on one corner only to see him do it to me on the next. 2nd lap i get him and stick it this time and start catching Road Rash. I stick to him for the rest of the race end up with hims 1st and me 2nd.

Race2: Road Rash and I get Another flying start. We leave the Street stock guys behind and even pass some classics all by turn1. Road rash makes his way past some more classics with me right behind him. I find that I am catching him big time in turn 2,3,4, and 5. I line him up and come lap3 I Stuff it up the inside of him on turn 5. only to find him coming round the out side of me at the end of turn 6. I Stick to him for the rest of the of the race and we end up with a repeat of the first race.

Race3: Road Rash is first over all now and and just needs to finish the race. So we do the same on the start again but this time number 4 stuck with us i got stuck in turn 1 big time. come into turn 2 to see Road Rash has put about 4 classics and number 4 between us. No4 (sorry dont know the kids name) was flying he whiped past the classics I follow suit and by the end of turn 6 I am coming round the outside off him. Now I had to work on the gap Road Rash opened up. End of lap two I am gaining on him hard. lap 3 and i am right on his ass. Lap 4 (shotened race lasp lap) I Line him up for T5 again I was was flying by the end of turn 4 18000 rpm in 3rd gear knee on the deck the whole way round the corner. He goes out to the left of the track I stand the bike up leave my braking as late as i can and go right up the inside of him. Dump the bike over and open it up round the corner. Held onto first till the Flag. So My first 1st place and Road Rash was in 2nd

Big GRATZ TO Road Rash who ended up 1st over all (loved the close racing we had made it so much fun) and I Got 3rd.

Big Thanks to Jono and family again, Dave and all the other people who have given me tips along the way that have helped my riding improve leaps and bounds over the 3 rounds
