Shit... for $1200 bucks it would be nice to recieve a little freebee or two, not only that, I think the power of this console just aint quite right on my 14 inch tv. Oh well maybe I'll get one at christmas when they drop to $800 when they release the 100GB model.

Playstation 1 came out and was $1000 - 6 months later it was $300...

Playstation 2 came out and was $1000 - and again within a relatively short time frame it was $300 or summat...

Playstation 3 is $1200 and will be $300 in a few months time....

Shit if I spent $1000 on my bike it'd last a whole lot longer than 6 months (if I didn't run into a car...)

only game I have any interest in playing on the PS3 is Metal Gear Solid 4.

So, it'll be the 360 for me when Halo 3 comes out.

As Col said, only crazy people buy consoles when they 1st come out.

Just wait and watch the price drop.

I donno, it's 360 or PS3 for me. The 360 looks cooler.

Just call me a crazy guy then...

Purchased the 360 the day it came out, never really used it and sold it a while later at a big loss. Should have known to wait for some decent games to come out first.

Dont know if I would buy a PS3...they seem to have a few good motorcycle games. I love the Wii...that is cool. Ive been told the PS3 is going to beable to have the same type of game play as the Wii...if so I think this would be a big selling point for them.
Its just far to much money to spend on a device to play games on...much rather spend the money on some good tyres and a tune up.

Yep, as a former hard-core gamer - I have to say, I didn't really feel any impulse to rush out and get a PS3. Was around at my mate's place on Friday and he had one. Played Motor Storm for a wee whiles, but was generally gobsmacked it was only 1 player

Most titles you can go head to head without requiring another console ... and he did buy another controller, which didn't come with a USB recharging cable. You'd think at those prices they would have chucked one in with it (yeah, right

)

I'll wait the mandatory time period and get it when it drops in $$$ and end up spending most of my playing time doing the ol'MGS route!
