From there it is a dootle to Kopu and a merry wootle back to Dorkland via Kaiaua/Clevedon. I have found my plans for my pootle around the lower north island in disarray due to family commitments. I will have to settle for a shorter one on Saturday.

Beginning at 6.30am... riding through SH22 and zipping across from Glen Murray to Rangiri and do through to Ngaruawahia and across Gordonton and hooking up to Te Aroha!

Around 300km as the crow flies *sigh* not the length I would like, but I think it will have to do

Anyone mad enough to join me? It won't be ridden at excessive speeds and will be plenty of stops!

whoo hoo a big ride!!!!! havnt done a biggish ride for ages, im definetly in!! so meet you guys at autobarn mcD's then, 6.30am, no trouble for a dairy farmer lass like myself, but crap that will mean a 6am leave from here......5.30am get up.......all for the love of biking c u there!

I can bring maybe 2 beers, provided they don't clash together in my jacket and smash, that's my limit! (damn I need to buy some bike luggage carry..er..stuff).

Well that was, how do I say... informative! Haha

The truth is out that I know absolutely 0% about mechanics That's what mechanics 101 is for though, damnit ! Damn mechanic jocks bullying me.. "what's this? A ratchet? It looks like a spoon."

Just wait till they have photoshop trouble, then they'll come crawling back, oh yes.

All in all good clean fun, thanks for the dinner gijoe, and donor, I hope your alarm goes off at 3am!

Well Donor finally tootled off home at the midnight witching hour - I think he started to turn into a pumpkin!

As for the horror that we could actually find a 25 year old male who has not used a ratchet ... or couldn't recognise one If'n I knew that, I would have gotten the wayward lad to get stuck in!

The funny thing about the wiring was when everyone gave the job to me! Jeaves was the main man and he got the wiring sorted out! It was a bit funny bouncing ideas off each other ... and having the others go

Anyway, was good to see the crew had gotten the forks off Daisy after I had to tootle off in a cage for a wee while. Turns out they managed to make some new bike tools using available non-tool material

And, to top it all off - I couldn't find my fork seals for Daisy! Will have to order some more ... and watch them turn up after I get the new ones!

I think this thread is turning into a bit of a monster! Will have to divvy it up into new threads so people won't get confoozled!

Nice work one and all, I'll try to get the next spanner night sorted for the forks again!

I definately had fun removing all the screws I could find from Daisy's front end and using the old wood and hammer trick to remove the forks.

Prior to tonight the most techomalogical thing I had done to a bike was lube the chain

Great fun and a nice ride home in the dark.

I'm utterly confused about the 8am Friday ride. Would somebody be so kind as to explain what's going on? I'm correct in assuming this has nothing to do with Tauranga?

Lol. My thread comprehension skills begin to fail once Justin makes a string of consecutive posts
