    Rubbing front brakes!!!

Hey how's it,I have a simple question, IS it normal after you change brake pads for them to rub on the rotor and make a grinding sound. I have a gsxr600 '06. this is my first attempt at changing them, I used EBS brake pads as a replacement. PLease help?

Yep, thats normal. After a distance they'll settle down a bit. But they sit so close to the rotors it's not unusual for a light brushing sound even once bedded in.

As in the ones you do up with the allen key that holds the pad in there?

That's probably a bit more of an issue, but if you cant do it yourself your mechanic will be able to get it out in 5 mins with a drill and an easy-out tool.

Thanks for the advice. I was going to do the drill with the easy-out tool myself but just didn't know if it would work? If I leave the bolt in there till the next time I ghange my brakes is it going to hurt naything???

I wouldn't expect so. Maybe order a new pin now so you dont have to worry about needing it in a hurry!
