Motocrosser beheaded by piano wire

An Italian motocrosser, Marco Badiali, 48, was beheaded by piano wire strung between two trees on a farm near Modena, during an approved race in front of other riders travelling at 60mph. Officials suspended the competition and called in police.

A friend of Mr Badiali said “We walked the course the night before and the wire was not there. The wire was put there on purpose by someone with the intention of killing a rider."

A police spokesman said "A local farmer is being questioned in connection with this death but we are releasing no details about him. We are also looking for others in connection with the incident."

It's more common than you think. One of my mother's cousins was killed in a similar fashion when he blatted through a paddock without realising there was a one wire fence (conveniently) at neck height.

Thats is a blardy nasty thing to do to anyone.

I hope the police find and charge the cretin that did this.
I also hope the judge throws the book at him and make him stay in prison for the rest of his life for the murder he committed.
