Looking for an engine

OK people I hope you can help me out here.

I am looking for an engine. I have a frame, it doesnt matter what the frame is as the bike is not going to be going around any bends.

Straight line stuff only.

Got the idea. I have decided to try my hand at building a 1/4 miler.

What I am looking for is an engine to run in the D/DB class.

0-499 unsupercharged.

Somethig about 400cc, possibly 450cc.

4 stroke probably but I'm not ruling out a 2 stroker at this time.

Single, twin or 4 cylinder. Not a V as the frame will not accomodate either V2 or V4. It can be cut about a bit but not that much. Running would be nice but not a major. If not running it should be rebuildable.

Any one knowing of such an engine please PM me and let me know some details.

Any one else on this board ever built a 1/4 miler I would appreciate them getting in touch and allowing me to pick their brains a little.

I dont plane on running much by the way of suspension and have already started on the design of a rear swinging arm.

Too damm old to throw a bike round corners so keeping it in a straight line for 12-15 seconds should be easier.

Budget job so please be reasonable.
