True lemans, but you would also have to pay for a couple of grands worth of services and it's got a genuine alarm to. But I'm willing to negotiate...

    Cheers

I was mainly trying to point out our local prices as it appears you are living in Oz.

Are you transporting the bike to NZ anyway or just if it sells?

    Gidday lemans,

No worries. No, I decided that it would be cheaper & less hassle to sell it here in Oz and buy another one over there. I did think they were more like 25k new there though?? But if they're cheaper in NZ it makes the whole thing more palatible for me

End of the day, I want to sell it and I could look at lowering the price a little...

Actually lemans, I see you're on a 640, I thought it was a 950 from a quick glimpse at your avatar. Have you been for a test ride on a 990? Not as small and light as the 640 of course but I bet you'd like it

I'm sure you are right, I'm sure they were in the 24-25 bracket when they first can out.
Not many second hand ones come up for sale over here, but there is a earlyer one in the mid teen's at the moment (950) on Trade me I think.

I'm sure I will and it was on the radar for a while.
IF I had sold my Moto Guzzi MKIV before I got a 00 Moto Guzzi V11.
I could very well have traded the 640 and used the money from the bike sale for one OR had a Super Enduro .

But shit happens, and after trying to the MKIV off and on for years, it sold a few weeks after I brought the V11, so it must not have meant to be.
    Bugger it and all that.

You would know better than me on the NZ price. I only saw a new one advertised on a "bikes for sale" site (can't remember which). I haven't seen any secondhand 990s either. I'm reasonably sure mine is the first. I wouldn't be selling it either if I wasn't heading home to NZ. I went for a ride into the mountains last weekend and I don't know if it was because I had made up my mind to go or not but it just seemed better than ever to ride .... Can't wait to check out some NZ roads on one.

The road I did last weekend was about 30km (I think) of seemingly endless hairpins on seal with only the odd car here and there - travelling south to Omeo in the Victorian Alpine area if you're interested in looking it up.
