Yeah, call him "Tiger" and make sure he is "injected" feed him first class fuel and he will fetch whatever you desire! (and a whole lot more too probably!)

Good luck with your cool new friend. Cheers John.

PS: Just had a good look at pic 2. Such a lot of hope in those eyes, nice looking pup, hope you three make a great team.

    Congrats on the new babe!
Sure you'll find a name that will suit.

As for the cat let him get use to the wee fella bit by bit. Keep the pup calm- sleeping or lying still (give him treats) & let your cat into the same room & give him treats & cuddles too.
Feliway is a awesome product that helps cats in stressful situations like this. It's not cheap but I know heaps of people where its helped their cat to accept new pets into the home. Your vet should help out with some advice.
What about Sid for a name

Same room! Fat chance - dogs only come into our kennel on express permission on very rare occassions. He's going to be a rambunctious big fella and has his own place outside. I suppose the cat will either accept him or go next door - she's currently hanging out in the hayshed!

Rambunctious big fella?? ....that dawg is going to be a well-trained big fella ....

...... and "the cat can just go and live next door if she don't like it" unquote [or similar]??????

so i guess it musta been someone ELSE i saw/heard enticing the cat in thru the lounge window last night and telling her she's still number one cat and not to worry *cuddle cuddle*

    you are soooooooooooooooo sprung, fella!!

Bruce... he can be any variation of that...

some of these suggestions added to the shortlist .... [no, NOT yours, BigDave - you are one sick puppy!! ] .....

think the final descision could be made tonight ,,, mebbe [getting tired of calling him 'hey you' lol]

spent a good part of yesterday arvo building a big run between the orchard and the chookhouse --- with a kennel that is about ten times too big currently [think we'll have to put a basket in there for him until he grows into it] ..............
............ he'll spend all his time loose when we are home but i hate having dogs tied up when no-one is home so a good-sized run seemed to be the answer until we can get one of those perimeter fence electronic thingys...

anyone had any experience with those?

Pick whatever name fits him best, but remember its you that has to call it out in public....I made the fatal mistake of letting the kids name one of our dogs, try calling out "buffy the vampire slayer" in the park, especially when your refering to a short fluffy schnauzer.

I only walk that dog after dark...

    Call it Spaz
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
