    Procrastination

AS I find myself again in the early hours of the morning, making my way through yet another assignment that is due in the morning, I wonder if there are many others out there who have a penchant for leaving assignments etc. to the last minute.

It seems that I do this every time. Even with the best of intentions I say "Next time I will be more organised" I always end up completing my work at 5 or 6 am then stumbling in to University to hand it in.

I get reasonable grades. I'm sure I could get better if I was more organised but I just don't know how to be. Typing this is just another example of my procrastination, I should be working on my essay but can't help checking KB every 5 minutes.

Anyway, not sure what the purpose of all this is but if you have any advice or similar experiences; please share

    Yours in eternal procrastination

    Chisanga

    I'm probably older.

I'm watching/listening to the cricket and clear cutting pictures of handlebars. Flexitime works for me.

Ahh this is due Wednesday so I will be fine for Thursday. I wouldn't let a little thing such as an assignment worth 30% of my final grade get in the way of some quality riding anyway

Old enough to know better but not smart enough to do anything about it. Only 600 words to go be done soon

I'm going to respond to this shortly, I just have a couple of things to do first and then I will do it - honest.

Well, men *DO* have one X chromosome you know...

Perhaps us being slack, lazy procrastinating sods is just us getting in touch with our feminine side...

Ahhh the wonderful sound of a deadline wooshing by!
There is only one cure for procrastination, action, go out and do something. No wait... stay in and do something. lol
All you need is some time management skills, and a regular kick in the arse.
Seriously, assignments are best done in the company of others, get a study buddy to work with and help motivate each other. Doesn't need to be the same paper even, when I was at Uni we got a group of 'mature' students together and had a roster of who's house we worked at 2 nights a week. Different papers and degrees but really helped to bounce ideas off each other and have other viewpoints expressed, made staying focussed much easier. The best part was everyone in that group had an improvement in productivity and grades, and we had fun doing it.
    Give it a go.

I used to procrastinate, now I just rely on apathy.
