Can definitely make this Sunday, and look forward to meeting you all. Am not the quickest of riders, so, being a Nurse/Medic, do not mind being tail end Charlie.
Can some kind person remind me of the meeting places? am riding down from Paraparam.

I'm going to be in the Rua so can anyone suggest a place to meet in Pahatanui (excuse bad spelling)? If not, see y'all at the Caltex on the old Hutt road on Sunday morning. If ther weather is this bad now, surely it has to break before Sunday......please

Hi all, checked the weather forecast for Sunday and it's meant to clear during the morning, so fingers crossed they've got that right.
Those from Porirua etc who want to meet the group before Rimutex may want to meet us at the Pahatanui garage at say 10:30ish for a 10:45 departure.
Smoggie, there may be a few coming over from Kapiti, and there is somewhere they normally meet to ride over.... Anyone riding over from Kapiti who can meet up with Smoggie?

My mobile number is: 021 976 000 if you need to call or text me to let me know you're going to be late, you've broken down, you need us to wait for you or if you just want to send me crude jokes (kidding about the last one).

Weather map looks optimistic. If its windy it will be a southerly which shouldn't cause problems in the Takas.

I am 99.99999 % sure that the weather is going to be stunning on sunday. Will be making a sacriufice (sp?) on Saturday night to help with the forecast... prob will be a nice bottle of bourbon. Hopefully this time someone will ride with me to Rimutex (not looking at any of the rapa peoples) I will not be going over the hill if the hill is wet, problem with my cheapo GN tyres and I dont mind being nurse or medic, did St Johns about 8 years ago... will bring bandaids!!

Due to a bit of confusion and people pming me etc, the ride will be the same as last Sunday's newbie ride: only change will be ride SH2 to Plimmerton and take Greys rd to Pahatanui, regroup and meet at the Garage there and over the Haywards to meet everyone else at Rimutex for 11:30 departure, we're not meeting at the duck pond.
Any newbie who does come along on Sunday (or anyone else for that matter) that wants to have an experienced rider ride along with them, then that is their choice and should mention that to either me asap, and I will hook you up with a sensible mentor type person for the day who'll stick with you during the entire ride, and ride toward the back of the ride, in front of the ride TEC. Lunch at Featherston Pub - Royal Hotel.
    Thanks.

This Is The Proposal For Sunday

Depart around the rear of the the service station passed the car wash.

Make up your own four by all means. Any newbie seeking to ride see Mrs Kendog or me and we will arrange.

Any people with first aid training / medical background, remain at tail end of whole group ride.

Each group of four: have a brief between all of you, discuss safety and items to focus on eg counter steering, braking, suspension etc, seek feedback. before you depart.

Suggest start arriving by 11.00, form up by 11.20, and staggered departures at 30second intervals from 11.30am and maintain no closer than 12second horizon distance.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

    Hi BuckBuck,

I am going to get straight to the point here.
Your proposed plan is not happening in tomorrows ride!

I appreciate the sentiment and thought you have put into this plan and I fully support you organising another ride following this. But tomorrows ride is going to follow the previous weeks very successful set up, with the addition of newbie riders buddying up with an experienced rider if they want.

It's all about personal choice, and the feedback we are getting in the 'Dog house' reflects a need for a little less formal ride approach.

No offense meant in the above rant. Happy to discuss with you in person tomorrow if you wish.
