What the heck do I do?

We are having a serious problem in our narrow little street at the moment

cars blasting through anytime of the day or night....but alot higher speeds at night.

we arnt talking 70kph or something.

my street is a 50 kph zone it is narrow. and there are cars parked either side at night.

these cars are doing what i estimate to be at least 100kph. some 120-130+ this is ridiculous.

i don't want to call cops as the last thing i need is cops swarming the area. but how do i stop this?

i have no ideas on what to do.

i really do not want to call the cops.

because chances are they will not get them.

am i over reacting is this very common.

this is a very small sidestreet it's not a main road or anything..... it's a backroad suburban street.

and i'm worried one night a car will back out of a driveway and the speedster will not see it. and bang.

with the speeds they are doing they wouldnt even have time to hit the brakes.

what the heck do i do?

What kind of cars are they? And what city are you based? East Auckland if your location is correct...?

If I can track down a few well respected car guys in your area, I'll have a chat to them, and see if they can't sort em' out

i don't need thier heads smackewd in or anything i just want them to slow the hell down it's insane it's a narrow street and 120 kph is just stupid heck i would even do that speed on a bike down this road. it's too narrow and too many driveways.

You may think that the speeds they are doing are ridiculous for the setting, but they probably think it's ok.

Ask yourself if this has ever been the other way around, that you think you're fine and safe but others have thought you a danger or menace.

If the answer is yes, then lie back and blame karma.....

otherwise call the cops, chances are they will respond. why is that the last thing you need? you got dead bodies or marijuana plants littered around the place?

call the local council and talk to them about it ... they may decide that the area needs speed humps - that is the legal way.

Try putting a piece of cotton across the road at headlight level between posts etc. When the headlights come up to it it looks like a wire rope & scares the shit out of them.

    Bricks across the road.

    or diesel.

Breaking their cars, while totally illegal, may be the only thing that works.

Bad side affects include dead racers, and property damage. Maybe even some killed pedestrians. Which may or may not incur you jail time.

Or you could just video them, and send the video to the TV stations. They need something for the six o'clock news at this time of year.

Either way, the cops will end up on your street.

Or just put up with it. Karma's a bitch Mark.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

FFS I've seen you leave a funeral of a KBer at 17000rpm in a 50kmph zone
Karma? Yeah more than likely. If you don't like it then go and do something about it
