I still have a giggle when I read this one.

(Ad Title: 1991 Harley Davidson Road King US Model)

    Q. Is this a ex US Import? Do you have all the documentation? Does it need converting from left to right?
    A. Yes, it was imported from the us in '93 all documentation supplied with bike and available on request when viewing bike.

Q.Thanks but does it have the Left hand drive cert or will it need converting before vinning?
    A. Seriously?

    Q. Course I'm Serious mate, I've been caught out before with US cars? Don't want to pay that much for a bike I can't register!
    A. Have you actually owned a bike before?

    Q. Mate I've been riding for 22yrs I grew up riding pillion with my dad an got a bike as soon as I could get my licence, I know bikes an I know scammers
    when I see them!!!
    A. ...!?!

    Q. Answer my question please or I will report you to trade me!!
    A. *Sigh* It's a Left Hand Drive bike, no it hasn't been converted yet and no I don't have LHD Cert.

    Q. That wasn't so hard was it mate, so wil you negotiate on price seeing as how it will need converting?
    A. Tell you what if you hit the buy now, I'll have it vinned and registered for the road before you pick it up. AND to show I'm a stand up guy, I'll even throw in a free set of Right Hand Drive Highway Pegs, Extended Rear Brake, Gear Select and Right Hand Controls all at no extra charge.

    Q. Cool can you ring me on *********.

Trying to sell my old NZ250, I had a guy use the questions to try to tell me it was a two-cylinder bike (and I'd described it incorrectly).

(He was confused by its two exhaust headers; and his mates one apparently had "too much grunt" for a single.)

    Sigh.

Told him if he hit "buy now" then proved it had two cylinders, I'd let him have the bike for free.

Found a chopper on trademe today.

    The seller was in USA.

    The chopper was in USA.

For $15,000 (starting bid) direct to him, he'd wheel it to a transport place. You additionally had to pay for shipping and insurance.

    Got this one today.

Auction listing is under electric guitars, titled Fender Stratocaster Bridge. Description goes on further to say what it can be used for and what parts are included.

Question asked from someone who had already bid: "What is this off of".

My reply: "Uh.. a Fender Stratocaster"

Nope. What we have there is someone who set an autobid that while a lot higher than the other bids, was above of the reserve. TM automatically fires in the autobid at the reserve price.
