    Thoughts on Moulin Rouge

Yes, this will probably be PD'd but:

What are everyone's thoughts on the movie "Moulin Rouge" with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman??

Personally, I love the movie, possibly my favorite movie of all time...
Nicole and Ewan can actually sing... Its a tale of love, loss, drama, pizzaz!
Its all that and a bag of crazy, crazy chips!!

If you havn't seen it, i recommend you do.. (I am watching it now ^_^)

(You have to PD this now, I said Bollox)

As I recall, sitting through a couple of hours of sappy dreck was almost worth the pure joy of seeing Jim Broadbent perform 'Like a Virgin'.

I remember sitting through it in a young, youthful effort to get laid... It didnt work, so I understand that seeing 'Like a virgin' is not a good way to go about it either?

You should have tried, Boogie Nights or the 'Tipping the Velvet' series.

Maybe it's because there are now so many alternatives now, but I have COMPLETELY lost interest in Fiction. Movies books and TV etc.
The real world is far more entertaining than made up bollox.

    Cool It's crap - a pure chick's flick

Only bikers who wear leather chaps would enjoy watching that over the top load of lisensuous rubbish.
However Nichol Kidman is a sexy woman at her worst.

I liked 'O'Brother where art thou' with George whatever his name is.
And the original Matrix, Tombstone, and a movie I caught one night about a guy who makes deliveries in his BMW for money - no questions asked, it opens with a cool car chase thru an Italian city when he's driving as a get away car for some bank robbers, turns out he's a martail arts expert too, he ends up helping a kidnapped Asian girl get a bunch of refugee's out of a truck container - I can't remember what the movie was called.
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

Well obviously the coolest movies ever are the 3 Fast and the Furious movies and Torque

If that doesn't send this thread to PD I don't know what will

The first time I saw it I wasn't overly taken by it, although it gave me a visual and sound overload. I saw it a second time some time later and actually enjoyed it.
