That was a good day out. I ended up at the Taka carpark as usual for a toasted sandwich. Ambo's were hard at work with a 4 or 5 car pile-up at Te Marua, go the Ambo's!.

Noice to see you all.... I hate large group riding (with a passion) as people in cars get all antsy and stressed by lotsa bikes and it's a bloody wonder we all made it but - we did and I had 3 sausages - anna coffee and gave em extra too because frankly the sausages were GREAT!
Timing was perfect because Jim2 and I (who is a top bloke despite only getting one sausage) then joined the Wellie Classic Club for the second 'Fortifications' ride which was a LOT more fun than riding up the Takas (again) because we went to places we had never been and saw some pretty interesting old munt in wierd places. I actually learnt a bit including my street scrambler is more street than scrambler ( I did a cool wheel spin in some cow poos though) and Jim2 found that his bike is actually an adventure bike and that old bikes are not always evil handling piles of shit...
We both found kick starting an old bike with poo in your boot is slippy.
A blardy GOOD day
Well my ride was even shorter - slept in - got up at 10.50am - got straight into the leathers - just going through the petone - hutt turn off and saw all the bikes so did a u-ee. Enjoyable event.
And Jim2 could have had more sausages if he wanted!! lol
