Well if it had been a speed camera he wouldn't have had to stop... Just goes to show we need real coppers out there. Job well done.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Damn bludgers should be out writing tickets for Helen instead of chasing burglars, theres no money in that caper.

And so th ejustification for the speed cameras is therefore...? "sorry we didn't catch the toerags - but we sent them an invoice and photo for their wall!"

I think you're attempting to hijack the thread just slightly there.

Seriously, if you're not up to anything, you've got nothing to hide, right? I do a few drugs now and then but I don't carry them coz it's not a regular thing. I don't pinch shit, I don't buy stolen shit, I don't have more than a pint or two when riding/driving, so no DIC and I rarely carry mangled bodies in the trunk of my automobile. Not much chance of me getting into strife when searched by the coppers so why not let them have a look? I'd be sick on the spot if my place got turned over and the bobbies were dishing out TON's around the corner instead of tipping out low-lifes. I've got a grunty stereo, loads of CD's, a computer that I earn a living with and I DON'T want any of it pinched.

    exactly.

well.. get to work yesterday, and no one says a thing to me about it! 4 staff members wandering around [not including myself] and not a single comment.
oh well... next time i wont bother calling it in.

mwvt... you make a good point. it would be easy enough to access records of registration [vehicles] to find those out of date. i saw one two days ago that was due march 06!! thats an easy way to collect revenue... have one guy sitting on his ass typing, and another guy stuffing envelopes.

    20 minutes or more?
Did anyone explain why it took that amount of time to report the rego and description of a drive-off?

The cops do tens of thousands of 'things right' every year. We just never hear about it. The media only seek to sell papers and gain ratings by picking at them when things do go wrong - and only by a minority few that spoil it for the rest of them.
