    Bike bling is GOOD!

Well, Rosey is all blinged out with her shiny Steel Mate alarm, complete with flashy LED (couple hundred more, and I'll be catching up on GIJoe1313!

After a session of watching, fairing stripping and getting totally confused watching GI and Jeaves (who is a freaking LEGEND!) trace dodgy looking wires and reading wiring schematics like NASA engineers, my bike now makes a purty 'beep' sound at the push of a button.

Set the alarm off, and it certainly provides a valid excuse for not hearing the wife when she's gnawing on ya ear!

So big huzzahs to GIJoe1313 for the workspace, tools, extra bits and bobs, Jeaves for his expertise and patience with a complete dunce such as myself where all things electric are concerned, Chisanga for his assistance in the deconstruction of Daisys front end, and Zeocen for... ummm... being Moral Support Officer!

Oh, and to KneeScraper for the awesome deal on the alarm

Looking forward to the next play night!

This shall involve a burlap sack, some concrete blocks, 20m of rope, lime, several shovels, a small grey thing that goes "neep", several calcified muffins, a candle, 3 litres of bleach, wheelbarrow and last, but not least, a large container of liquid tar next to a chicken farm...

But I digress, yes, it was a fun night - I have just now ordered another set of fork seals for Daisy ($50 bloody hell! I forgot how much they cost! ) And of course, when I get them, the original purchased set will turn up!

I think we need to run a special workshop on "Tools and what they are, how you use them 101" for a certain someone, who needs his man card revoked until he knows how to :

    1. Identify several tools and demonstrate proficiency with them.
    2. Utilise several tools to dismantle (re-mantle?) and reassemble a thingabob.
    3. Get hands dirty to extent that special hand cleaner needs to be used. Oil to be left under fingernails and in whorls of fingerprints.
    4. Able to fart, burp and belch - the wetter the better (I am already an expert as can be attested to!)
    5. Transport at least four bottles in jacket without spillage or breakage!

Now now, two bottles of Bundaberg were a good start...

But yes, we need more fix-it/break-it nights... I am freakin' EXPERT at de-fairing/re-fairing the ZZR now!

W00t. I'm an expert at the technique of fixitbreakit. My favourite is my rooted vicegrips.

On that note I managed to lock my girlfriend in the toilet today. Or, she did it herself. Had to wait for her daddy to get home and we attacked the stuffed doorknob with a variety of screwdrivers and long-nosed pliers until it finally gave in.

If only it'd been at my house and I'd had my rooted vicegrips handy...

And if it was at your house, you'd probably be calling for the fire brigade by now!

Hahahaha. I'm too young to know but I'm too antiquated not to.

I need to do oil in the next 500kms or so. Will do filter too -- mine's not really a filter, just a piece of metal strainer hidden inside the right-hand crankcase cover. I should do that at a fixitbreakit night so those who don't know can see the inside of an engine, and clutch et al.

    Oooh you bastards.
So be it, I accept your challenge and will amend my girly ways.

After all, I have also ordered the same alarm, and if you thought a ZZR was hard to get into, try unscrewing my fairings that are tied together with plastic and will probably shatter if tightened to tight while putting them back on!

You guys can go to town on it and I'll be moral support once again, I'll bring my pom-poms!

Although, not sure about the farting.. that was an amazingly inhumanly long one you managed Justin. I think I could fit 4 bottles in, probably even 6 ! I just have to find out where to buy them from.

And if he wasn't playing dumb ... the implications are depressing! Actually, I need to get my light sorted ... and install that 12V remote switch! All before May 7th!

Eh, it was just common sense mostly, I just don't know the names of tools.. so sue me! I can change headlight/brake light, change my oil (now!), replace a clutch cable and various other bits and bobs.. none of them required a ratchet I'm an artist, not a mechanic! That's my story and I'm sticking to it, damnit!

Back already Justin? That's not like you! If you need a second pair of eyes for your headlight count me in.. I promise I'll throw my weight around this time.

    .....maybe.
