    Ordering parts

this is to help if your are ordering pars for your cage

you need as much info as possible

    1) get part number if possible or bring it in if possible as well, if the place your are going stocks the same brand this will be sufficent

    2) get make, moddle, year and size of engine

    3) get engine and chassis codes. they can be found on a metal plate in your engine bay or on your fire wall. if none get the vin number and look open your doors and look by the lock mechinisim on the door and in the car its self

    4) these things help depending on what parts are being ordered

    -what fuel (petrol or desiel)
    -if it has a turbo
-what drive, front wheel, rear wheel or 4wd
-if carbed, multi/twin carbed or injected. injected can be mpi (multi point injection) or efi (elictronic fuel injection)
-if it has ABS (anit-locking brackin system)

if you cant get any of this stuff or still dont under stand bring the vehical in if possible

this gives you a greater chance of getting the right part first time and makes the job easier

    hope this helps

Wow, who knew we as normal human beings could not work that out??

    Dude, engage the grey matter
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

BDOTGNZA are a bit busy, so allow me to help.

Good thread mate, you might have to make the thought you are trying to convey a bit clearer.

Full chassis # is all i need to look up the exact part (Mitsubishi) . That brings up all the details (pet/dsl , turbo/non turbo , auto/manual etc)

Off memory Toyota and Nissan require the model # as well , but other than that...

Repco and likes have a habbit of needing every single piece of info to get somewhere close....but its cheaper and cheap.

Although my brief stint with Mercedes was something of a nightmare looking up parts.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
