    Man, what a day!

Today was so freakin' awesome Big THANKS to all who organised it and ran it - you did a fab job

It was also a pleasure to meet Bruce and Daryl's mums and the Evans family. Those who organised everything put on a damn good day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The pizza and prizes were fab and the lunch time activites were a nice touch. I was also lucky enough to score a back protector as the prize for my boot toss (thanks Quazi!) Lucky considering it's the one piece of gear I didn't already own

On a personal note, I achieved everything I set out to do today and that was to use my brakes. I wasn't concerned with speed or lines etc, my only goal was to gain confidence and I definitely did.

Another high for me was watching Sam Love out and about riding our 600. That young man can ride and it was awesome seeing the Gixxer out there being ridden as it's meant to.

All in all, it was a bloody good day out and the company was even finer

    Yep it was great.

Enjoyed the track and saw some great riding from the racing type guys to the stunting guys. Great low key day.

Did my first ever stand up for a metre or so and then a little longer something that I have wanted to so for a while but have never been in the right space so watch this space. :-)

Frenchy rocked All the K7 riders gave a good show lol.

Thanks again to the marshalls and the organisers. A great way to remember and honour the boys

Cheers to those involved in the set up and running of this day, My self and blackbuell, decided to head down just for a ride and check it out.
Looked like everyone was having fun.
Here's a clip from the lunch time entertainment,
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

    As the fuit said ...

From my point of view the day went very, very well. We had a couple of minor problems (slow group got mixed in with the fast group after an accident brought out the red flag so had to put the chequered out and restart the fast guys, a bar end fell off Nicksta's bike causing a red flag, and there were 3 spills, none serious), we only had 2 marshalls for the day (besides me and fruity) and there were people from the car crowd on the small track on our RT channel so not all the instructions got through.

BUT, everyone got at least 5 sessions, the stunt sessions were fan-farken-tastic, the lunch time activities rocked hard, we had a truckload of prizes to hand out, and it was funny as fuck black flagging people for naughtiness and making them do push up's as punishment.

We managed to fit in a hell of a lot in 1 track day, had less crashes than any other track day I know of and just had lots of fun.

    Big thanks to:
kiwifruit & Sue VFR from Moto TT (huge thanks to these 2 especially)
The families of both Daryl and Bruce for lunch and also covering any shortfall
Nicksta & Bev for the ride and room at the motel
Cowpoos and Boomer for being entertaining MC's from hell
Big Dog & Mad Duck for showing up and spending all day out in the hot, hot sun
Olivia for dropping off and picking up the marshalls all day
Both families, Sportsbike & Quasimoto for the prizes
The guys (and girl) that took part in the stunt sessions
and everyone that turned up and rode (or even just spectated) today

I was glad to be associated with the event.

You couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the lives of Bruce and Daryl. They would have been stoked at seeing so many happy people. I thought about them regularly throughout the day, but instead of being miserable I was remembering lots of happy stuff and their antics. Thankyou to the Mathies and Dale for organising such a fitting tribute to the lads.

and Dale, it was awesome to see you out on the track with that great big silly grin on your face!!!
