Pull it out or leave it in?

Just noticed on my brand new Avon's a small tear in the main contact part of the tyre about 1cm across. There is definately something in there (i'm assuming glass).

At the moment there does not seem to be any loss of pressure on the tyre that I can tell so what do you knowledgable types recommend that I do.

Leave it in there, try to get it out (not sureif this will be easy/possible) or take it back to Motohaus and have Kerry look at it/repair it?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. Did a search through this section but nothing seemed particularly relevant

First choice is take it to Kerry otherwise you gotta pull the thing out and face the issue. It may not have gone through.

Take it back & get it checked.
If you leave what ever it is in there, as the tyre wears it'll work in further and do damage & fracture the carcass (puncture) most likely it hasn't at present.

I had a set of avons on my zxr400 and they started to tear after one race meeting. I am not sure if your tear is caused by a foreign object but if it is delaminating then get the rep from Dold industries (the importer) their and get them replaced at their cost.

Definately a foreign object. I prodded it with the tip of a screwdriver and it made a glass-like solid sound.
